The CFO is the strategist and leader for all audit, tax, treasury, financial analysis/reporting, and accounting-related functions for the company.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience leading financial and accounting functions at a senior level in mid-sized organization, preferably as a Chief Financial Officer.
Must have a strong aptitude in all aspects of the accounting process of a construction contractor including treasury functions, financial reporting, and general ledger structure for an organization with divisional offices.
As a senior leader, this individual must possess a collaborative and engaging management style which builds strong relationships as well as have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within the Construction industry and a Bachelors' degree in Accounting or Finance are required.
An MBA, CPA or other advanced degree is preferred.
Responsibilities include but not limited Continuously communicates with key members of the executive team to ensure objectives are aligned with the overall financial strategy of the company.
Leads a 25-person department, directly overseeing the Controller, providing coaching, support, and guidance.
Works with the compliance team to ensure that we are adhering to national and local labor laws and financial requirements.
Oversees treasury functions including security measures and provides guidance to the Controller as they oversee the day-to- day accounting, recording, reporting and internal control activities of the organization.
Assists and oversees the research, recommendations, and negotiation of all required insurances for the company and conducts insurance audits.
Works with the Executive team to identify the best options during annual renewal of all benefits and sits on the benefit committee.
Communicates directly with the bonding company.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
