Responsibilities include:
- Uses judgement to plan, perform, make decisions and improvements as to the sequence of operations and processes in coordination with other departments.
- Collaborates with other Dept Leads/Supervisors to coordinate daily production needs.
- Inspects first piece of raw material, work in process (WIP) and all fabricated parts.
- Reads and interprets blueprints checking parts to prints to ensure that parts are manufactured to the specifications. Reviews and interprets job aids and shop orders.
- Uses measuring instruments, such as verniers and gauges, to measure material; make necessary adjustments to ensure quality parts.
- Performs math calculations to correctly setup machine.
- Reads, interprets, and completes routine paperwork; records proper information to ensure accuracy of inventory.
